What's Hot and What's Not!
According to trends being discussed at the International Builders Show (IBS), here are the trends for 2023:
• Get the Tub out! Home buyers no longer want a tub in their master bath. They want double sinks and larger showers. Showers should have curbless entries, no doors, and dual showerheads.
• More space, but squared off footprints to help keep foundation costs down.
• Make my space. Ten by ten bedrooms are giving way to 12 x 12 bedrooms with walk in closets.
• Take down the walls. Dining rooms are losing their walls to give people more room to spread out. We're looking for good functional space to entertain and not be cramped.
• More with Less. With the average homes in 2022 being over 2,000 square feet, Builders are being asked to chop a few hundred feet (400+/-) of to save on costs.
